Writer’s Block Cured by National Geographic
Written by Jason D. Barrett. Filed under: Free Association October 20th, 2007I thought I would hop on to Smokin Sevens tonight and put together a post, but the post seems to be staying out of site. It seems I have a classic case of writer’s block. So here’s what I am going to do. I am going to write about what I can see.
I just happen to be watching National Geographic right now and let me tell you that what I am seeing is a little disturbing. There is a pack of hyenas eating a wildabeast while it is still alive.
There is also a lion that is sick with something. It’s got a bunch of fly-infested sores and it can’t stand up. Vultures are starting to circle. They’ve hit the ground waiting for the impending death. Hyenas have taken notice of the vultures and the lion’s time is running out. The hyenas are on the way.
Night falls and the lioness is surrounded by the hyenas. The laughing and jeering can be heard for miles. The hunter has become the hunted. We must wait. The hyenas grow impatient.
Cliffhanger! What happened? I don’t know because it’s commercial time. I’m going to bed and I am not sure the ending is that important anyway. I found something to write about. I wrote. You read. Formulate your own conclusion. It won’t kill you.
